2012 arrangements will see Avalon based in Italy for the next 6 months. Avalon will be racing a CBR600RR in a 5 round series run by Honda Italy. All the motorcycles in this class are exactly the same and therefore the series produces fantastic close racing and has a good following.
”I’m over the moon about this opportunity. Having raced the Honda CBR600 machine this summer should give me some familiarity with the bikes in this series, however it won’t have as much power or a slipper clutch like the Wolf Pack Racing bike I have been on here at home.
Having a female and the son of a world superbike champion, in the form of Travis and myself, as a New Zealand contingent has already drawn media attention over there. I hope we can do a good job representing NZ, WIL sports management and my other sponsors.”
Avalon’s first race will be at Vallelunga on the 13/14/15th April.
